Artists

Since 2002, OBRAS has welcomed artists from around the world.

Residents have included painters, sculptors, writers, composers, architects, filmmakers, researchers, and interdisciplinary practitioners. The range of practices and nationalities has shaped the character of the residency over more than two decades.

The artists are the history of OBRAS.

Some projects developed here remain private and exploratory. Others move on to exhibitions, publications, performances, and long-term research. The residency does not prescribe outcomes. It provides the conditions in which work can evolve.

This archive is a record of that continuity.
